Bhubaneswar, Oct 6: Odisha 5T Secretary V K Pandian on Friday directed the officials and agencies to complete the Sri Mandir Parikrama Project by December this year.
The 5T Secretary gave the direction after reviewing the progress of the work at a meeting with the Principal Secretary Works Department, Collector Puri, SO Puri MD OBCC and other officials at Puri.
The review meeting decided to make adequate arrangements for parking of two wheelers for commuters and sebayats, give special attention to keep the outer access road free from encroachments and to expedite the matha re-development work involving all stakeholders and keeping in mind the history and heritage of the Mathas.
The meeting also decided to give Special focus to the landscaping works using plant varieties that are in tune with the heritage of Sri Jagannath temple, expedite the STP work, complete the Electrical sub-station work at the earliest.
TATA project was instructed to engage more manpower during night hours to complete the work in a time-bound manner.
The meeting decided that prime importance has to be given to ensure best experience to thousands of devotees who visit the temple everyday along with quality and timely completion of the works.
The agency constructing the Shree Setu work and JBPC was directed to complete the project in time, so that the devotees coming to Puri will get better feeling from coming New year.
