In a shocking incident, a man sexagenarian women was hacked to death allegedly by her son in Jajpur district over some family dispute on Sunday.
The incident took place in Bindhani Sahi, Binjharpur police station of Jajpur district. A son allegedly killed his mother with a sharp weapon.
The deceased has been identified as Premlata the wife of Shukdev Ojha. The alleged murderer son has been identified as Gopal Ojha.
According to reports, Gopal killed his mother Premalata Ojha with a billhook following a domestic feud. Gopal Ojha (40) was unmarried and he often quarrelled with his mother. A quarrel broke out between the two on Saturday night and he hacked his mother to death out of extreme anger. Sources said that Gopal was angry because his family did not try to get him married.
On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and started investigation. The accused son Gopal Ojha is missing from the scene of crime.
However, the local police nabbed him from Bidapada village on Sunday morning. He has been detained at the police station for interrogation.
On the other hand, Premlata’s body has been sent to Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital for post-mortem.
