Bhubaneswar: For the third consecutive day, the rituals at Lord Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar have been suspended due to a dispute between the temple servitors.
The incident was sparked off when a devotee entered the Bhoga Mandap, the area where the ‘Kotha Bhoga’ and ‘Abadha Prasad’ of the Lord were kept.
The temple supervisor requested that the prasad be buried and fresh food prepared for the Lord, however, it was said that the prasad was being sold to the public even though it was not presented to Him.
Despite multiple meetings, no resolution has been reached, and so, the Lord has not received the prasad during the new year.
