Kidnapped 6 year old rescued from Sundargarh Odisha
Sundargarh: Odisha police rescued a six-year-old girl who was kidnapped from Deogarh town on Monday. The child was found in the Badgaon area of Sundargarh district on Tuesday morning, thanks to the vigilance of a local woman.
The incident unfolded when a resident spotted the minor girl sitting under an electric pole, visibly distressed and crying. The concerned woman promptly reported the situation to the Badgaon police, triggering an immediate response. A team from the Badgaon police station rushed to the location, successfully rescuing the abducted girl.
The victim was identified as the six-year-old granddaughter of a garment trader in Deogarh. The alleged kidnapping occurred when the child was returning from tuition with her grandmother on Monday evening. Two bike-borne miscreants reportedly abducted her, speeding towards the Ranchi-Vijayawada highway.
The family swiftly filed a complaint with the police after the abduction. Following the rescue operation in Badgaon, the police informed the girl’s family through their counterparts in Deogarh. Subsequently, the family members reached Badgaon to reunite with the rescued child. The relieved family has safely taken the girl back home.
