Bhubaneswar: A female doctor was found dead inside her rented house on the first evening of the New Year at Baneikala under Joda police limits of Keonjhar district.
The deceased identified as Subhashree Kar of Cuttack was posted at the Urban Community Health Centre (UCHC) and was staying in a house atop it.
After celebrating New Year with friends, she returned to the rented house but had not opened the door till the evening despite repeated calls by her domestic help.
As a result, she informed the police with the help of neighbours. The police broke open the door of the house after reaching there and found the doctor unconscious.
She was immediately rushed to the Tata Steel Hospital where she was declared dead. The police said that the actual reason behind her death will be ascertained after post-mortem.
