Endeavour drags scooty 500 metre in Bhubaneswar; Rider Escaps Narrowly, 4 critical
In an incident of rash driving, a car hit and dragged a scooty for over 500 metres in Odisha’s capital city Bhubaneswar. The rider of the scooty narrowly escaped from coming under the van.
The injured persons, who are yet to be identified, have been admitted to the Capital Hospital. The car driver has been arrested by the police.
According to information, the Endeavour was running on the roadside when it hit a scooty and dragged it five hundred metre on the wrong side from AG Square till the State Assembly. It also hit other two-wheelers midway. A total of four persons, including the scooty rider, were injured in the incident.
The police managed to catch the driver of the car when he was trying to flee from the spot leaving the car behind. The cops arrested him. The injured were rushed to the Capital hospital.
Presently, the driver is being interrogated. Strict action will be taken against him as per traffic law, said a police officer.
