A special squad of Twin City Commissionerate of Police conducted surprise raids at various nightclubs, dance bars, and hotels in different parts of Odisha’s capital city, Bhubaneswar on Saturday night. following complaints that these were operating beyond the time limit.
Sources said the massive checking was conducted in different dance bars, hotels and nightclubs located on Cuttack Road and Rasulgarh areas in the city last night. Around two platoons of police force and senior officers conducted the inspection of around 10 such units in different parts of the city.
According to sources, action will be initiated against three bars for allegedly violating norms and running late into the night. The police has said that action will be taken against these bars as per the provisions of the law.
