Cuttack: Two students were critically injured after a ceiling fan fell on them inside a classroom while they were appearing for an examination at Gopabandhu Science Higher Secondary School in the Athagarh area of Odisha’s Cuttack district on Tuesday.
According to sources, the incident took place at Gopabandhu Science College in Athagarh area of the district when the students of Plus II were writing an examination this morning. The injured students are Sameer Sethi and Tapas Jena.
The ceiling fan suddenly fell on two of the students, causing them grievious injuries. However, other students escaped unhurt.
The injured students were rescued by the college staff and rushed to a nearby hospital where their condition is stated to be critical.
