Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Saturday night conducted raids on several nightclubs and bars in the state capital on the allegations of violation of various norms.
Reportedly, the enforcement activity was part of the ongoing ‘safe city drive’ by the Commissionerate Police.
According to reports, three platoons of police forces along with a special squad of the Commissionerate Police conducted the late-night raids at several night clubs and bars in the Chandrasekharpur, Infocity, and Patia areas in Bhubaneswar for allegedly operating beyond the specified time limit and openly flouting the sound limit norms.
The checking were carried out for opening beyond time limits, violation of sound limit norms, and other terms & conditions set by Excise Authority.
While the raids were carried out and many youngsters were also spotted partying till late at night, there have been no reports of any arrest in this connection.
