in a heartbreaking incident, a couple, who had married three days back, died in a road accident in Odisha’s Ganjam district on Monday.
The deceased have been identified as CH Praneta, a resident of Berhampur and G Benu of Ichhapur in Andhra Pradesh.
As per reports, the couple had married on February 10th. Yesterday they were coming to Berhampur in a bike when a speeding tractor which was coming from the opposite direction hit their bike in front of Golanthara Police Station.
While they were negotiating a curve in front of the Golanthara Police Station, their bike collided head-on with a tractor coming from the opposite direction. Severely injured, Praneta and Benu were immediately rushed to MKCG Medical College and Hospital. While undergoing treatment, they succumbed.
Meanwhile, the tractor driver has since been absconding. Golanthara Police have launched a manhunt to nab the driver.
