Bhubaneswar: A boat carrying 20 passengers to the Maa Kalijai temple became stranded in Chilika Lake on Saturday morning due to thick fog.
The passengers were on their way to the temple to participate in special rituals for Makar Sankranti.
The boat was unable to move due to poor visibility caused by heavy fog, but eventually resumed its journey after several hours when the fog lifted.
Following the incident, boat services have been suspended in Chilika temporarily till fog situation subsides.
