PM holds meeting with BJP leaders in Varanasi

Varanasi, Dec 14: Prime minister Narendra Modi has summoned a high level meeting of the BJP leaders involving the crucial upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly polls here on Tuesday.

The meeting started at 0900 hours at Banaras Railway Works(BLW) guest house.

Sources here said that UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, state BJP president Swantra Deo Singh, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and other senior leaders along with ministers and MLAs of Varanasi are present in the meeting.

After about 30 minutes interaction, PM will attend the CMs conclave at the sane venue.

Sources said along with the Chief Ministers of BJP ruled states, the Deputy Chief Ministers of Bihar and Nagaland will also attend the meeting. The meeting will go on till afternoon.

After this PM will have lunch with the Chief Ministers.

The CMs who are expected to attend the conclave are Yogi Adityanath of Uttar Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of Madhya Pradesh, Pema Khandu of Arunachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur of Himachal Pradesh, Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand, Hemant Biswa Sarma of Assam, Pramod Sawant of Goa, Bhupendra Patel of Gujarat, Manohar Lal Khattar of Haryana, Basavaraj Bommai of Karnataka, N Biren Singh of Manipur and Viplav Dev of Tripura.

Meanwhile PM Narendra Modi surprised everyone late last night when he reached Godohiliya crossing unannounced and met the tourists there.

Thereafter PM visited Banaras railway station after midnight. During this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was also present with him.

Prime Minister Modi will visit Swarved Mahamandir Dham this afternoon, where the Chief Ministers of other states will also be present. The PM will address the 98th anniversary of Vihangam Yoga at around 1500 hrs here on Tuesday.
