Seven killed, 3 injured as auto falls into gorge near Dangduru dam site in Kishtwar

Jammu, May 24: Seven persons were killed and three injured when an auto ferrying them rolled into a deep gorge near Dangduru Dam site on Wednesday in Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Police said that an auto ferrying the workers engaged in the hydroelectric project skidded off and rolled down into 300-feet deep gorge at the dam site.

Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh in a tweet said, “spoke to DC #Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav about unfortunate road accident at Dangduru Dam site. Injured being shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar or GMC #Doda as per requirement. All possible help, as required, will be provided.”
