Four killed in road accident in Jharkhand’s Gumla
Ranchi, May 3: At least four people were killed and more than three injured when a pick-up van overturned in Dumri in Jharkhand’s Gumla, police said on Wednesday.
Sunder Gyaar, a resident of Katari village under Dumri police station area of Gumla district, was returning from a pick-up at 8:30 pm last night after getting his daughter married when the driver lost control of the pick-up near Jarda village, police sources said here today.
After this, the car overturned three times and fell into the pit. Irenus Kindo, the girl’s parents Biranti Devi, Sunder Gyayar and another Sabita Nagesia were killed and over 30 others injured in the accident.
Eight of the injured have been referred to Gumla Sadar Hospital for better treatment.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has expressed grief over the road accident.
