8 injured after a house collapses due to LPG cylinder blast
New Delhi, Apr 17: At least eight persons were injured after a building collapsed due to LPG cylinder blast at gali no 10, Kunwar Singh Nagar in Delhi’s Nangloi Road area, Delhi Fire Service said on Monday.
According to DFS, all injured persons were rushed to the hospital for treatment with the help of public and police PCR staff. The fire department received a house collapsed call at about 5.15 hours, DFS said.
In another incident, a building collapsed in Tagore Garden area. The fire department received a building collapse call at around 23.30 hours. The firefighters rushed to the site where they found a three-storey building (basement, ground plus three floors) collapsed while digging an adjacent plot’s basement. In this incident, no casualty or injury was reported so far, DFS said.
Reacting to the incidents, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said both the incidents are tragic. “Both the incidents are tragic. The district administrations of both the areas are engaged in relief and rescue operations. We are in constant contact with the rescue team. I pray to the Lord for everyone’s wellbeing,” Kejriwal tweeted.
