Would Sharad give up fight and join NDA as Union Min and Ajit may replace Shinde as CM: turmoil in the offing in Maha

Politics of the day has become so unpredictable that best of analysts often get the wrong as right.

The brightest examples are the recent turns and twists in Maharashtra politics where many wore the weird creepy masks to create the illusion for each other.

First it was Eknath Shinde episode that hardly needs any repetition as how the latter made use of the political tricks to outsmart the Thackeray bandwagon and stole the crown of Maha.

Second, the Sharad & Ajit Pawar spat that made one thunderous explosion in which the senior Pawar was left scrambling for his wits. That too being a seasoned and accomplished political grand master whose fame spread nationwide.

He was just lamenting when Ajit Pawar was engaged in whispers carving a design for himself. He became the Deputy CM of Maha thus abandoning a scare not only for Shinde but left his political mentor and own uncle in a wilderness that the ageing Pawar was never thought of.

As the spat between the two Pawars is far from over, now for the NCP cadre there is another shock is dimly visible.

Who knows who has crafted the design but a strong rumor seems building up that, Sharad Pawar may join the NDA. An issue which has become further confusing as the veteran politician Sharad  Pawar has not come out with any decisive response in either way.

But sources in Mumbai would have us believe that, there is a concerted effort by the NDA to entice the senior Pawar to come to NDA and get union minister post of significance and also  the NDA has in mind to uplift Ajit Pawar to the post of the chief minister of Maha.

Last Aug 12 the private meeting between Sharad Pawar and Ajit in Mumbai has futher fuelled the speculations about the bonhomie between the NDA and Pawars that may go a long way, if it happen to jeopardize the NCP’s prospects to thrive as an alternative political force in India.

Reportedly, when such questions were put to  Supriya Sule, she nearly pleaded ignorance and warded off detail queries about that.

What the days ahead?

The turmoil that the Maharashtra politics is in, if the speculated NDA-Pawars patch up head towards a reality, then the third and most irritant turn will be the reactions from the Eknath camp who now seems taking a deft walk post Ajit Pawar’s ascendancy to the Deputy CM post in Maharashtra.

An internecine political conflagration may take shape if Ajit gets his position to be the head of Maharashtra politics.
