Saran: Five meet watery grave after vehicle plunges into canal
Chapra, Aug 25 : Altogether, five people met their watery grave when their Scorpio car plunged into a canal near Karn Kudaria village under Masrakh police station area in Saran district on Friday.
According to police, the driver of the Scorpio lost control over the wheels, following which the vehicle fell into the canal. The victim was returning after attending Shraddh karma (the rituals after death).
The deceased have been identified as Suraj Prasad (40), Dinesh Singh (52), Sudheer Kumar (14), Lal Babu Shah (45), of Baikunthpur police station area in Gopalganj District, and Ramchandra Shah (65) of Padmaul village under Mashrakh police station.
The bodies were fished out with the help of drivers and sent to Sadar Hospital in Chapra for postmortem.
