Bhubaneswar, Nov 12 : In a tragic incident, a man drowned while trying to rescue his son from drowning in Kathajodi river near Naraj in Cuttack district of Odisha on Sunday.
Sources said, a man from Naraj area had gone to the river with his eight-year-old son to take bath. While bathing, his son slipped into the deep river.
The man tried his best and saved his son. However, while rescuing his son, he himself drowned in the river.
Local people retrieved him from the river and rushed the man to a hospital where doctors declared him dead.
