Puri,Oct.4 (UPDATED) : Plans are afoot to launch Chandrayaan 4, 5 and 6 with increasing payload, ISRO Deputy Director P Sunil said.
Sunil said this while speaking at a programme on the occasion of observance of world space week at the Sri Jagannath Sanskrit university .
He further said the concept of launching a space station is on the card.
The ISRO deputy director said since India is going to be an economic power in the space business contributing a significant amount.
At present after successful launching of a number of space missions we are earning good funds. Now our international space business share is about 2 percent (7billion dollars), Sunil said .
The students of this city particularly of Sri Jagannath Sanskrit University had a new experience with a departure from their traditional Sanskrit subject related conferences as a unique conference on space with an exhibition on moon mission and space adventure of India was organised in their varsity.
On the occasion of observance of world space week the scientists from ISRO and IIMT-CSIR addressed the students describing about various Indian space programmes like Channdrayan series of moon mission , Mars mission and Aditya L1 mission to the Sun launched by the ISRO.
The weeklong conference in space science is being organised in this city to ignite the young students ‘ minds on space science and encourage them to take interest in space science.
Various spacecraft models, various types of rockets and their voyage routes in space were displayed in the exhibition.
Fifteen Odia scientists from Sriharikota space centre had interacted with students on various topics relating to space.
