But what is important that both the Congress and the BJP have few lessons to learn from the K’taka polls as the results reflect that, this election in K’taka cannot be seen in isolation from the climate to prevail in 2024.
One of the last election would impact 2024 general elections, second the lessons from the Himachal and K’taka polls the BJP has learnt.
As of now the scene is that the sweeping mandate gives a boost to the party’s morale with Assembly elections due in Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram and Telangana later this year, does it really signify winds of change ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections?

Secondly, the Congress focused its campaign on the local issues and the local leadership of the Congress actually took charge of the campaign. So, ‘local’ became very important for Congress.
With national issues of Ram Mandir, Hindutva, national pride – I think the Congress would have been in a difficult situation. So, local issues and local leadership helped the Congress in registering the kind of victory they have been able to do in Karnataka.
