Humanity in Manipur given a offline treat through shutting down internet, a big shame on show

Regardless of the posture the BJP led Union Government has adopted but, one thing is clear that the nation in general and Manipur in particular have reached a stage of shame.

Or, may be the word called shame is on a rapidly disappearing phenomenon from politics of the day.

More shocking that the Chief Minister of Manipur says that there are hundreds of videos documenting crimes such as the one we have seen recently. What does he mean by that?

Despite fears of legal backlashes there have been so many articles opined on this topic of grave nature and so do in the Social media through postings. Nudging the Central government to react and even the jibes have been activated and some been given a divisive twist on the inhuman atrocities on women.

The Manipur tragic tale has lingered over 82 days past.

Now the internet in the state has been crippled chocking the information channels. Yet thanks to our global internet helping the incident reach to Washington DC where eyebrows have been raised, said a report.

Now the reactions from the Centre came at a languor pace yet nothing decisive per say.

America was celebrating last month India’s rightful position on the world stage by honouring our Prime Minister.

Highly unacceptable that when the Iranian regime and Taliban aren’t able to keep their suppression of protests and violence against women hidden, one wonders, how did India manage to do it?

What was the State machinery doing? What were journalists and media organisations doing?

Shutting down the internet could be thereason that the news which shocked billions within hours was hidden from us for almost 80 days is that the govt, more often and more drastically than any other democracy, feels empowered to shut down the Internet as and when it likes.

The issue in Parliamnet also has not been able to garner as much significance as the banters of hate dares to block the ways to solutions.

Even the treasury bench claims about its readiness to discuss then why not the PM make the statement in the house.
