Harley Davidson X350, X500 Motorcycles Teased Ahead Of Launch, To Debut In India Soon?

Harley Davidson is planning to enter a new segment of motorcycles with small cruiser motorcycles. For the same, the company has been working with the owner of Benelli Motorcycles, Quiangjang Motors, to develop such two-wheelers. Since the information became public, the details of the motorcycle have been revealed via leaked information online.

Now adding to the details, the company has teased the new Harley Davidson X350 and X500 motorcycles. These motorcycles, or at least one of them, is scheduled to launch on March 10.

Harley-Davidson X350 and X500

Both the Harley-Davidson X350 and X500 will be based on the same platforms as the current Benelli models. Thanks to Harley-Davidson’s tie-up with China’s Qianjiang Motors, the X350 motorcycle will share its platform with the Benelli 302S, while the X500 will be based on the Leoncino 500.

The Harley-Davidson X350 will be offered with a 353cc twin-cylinder motor that churns out 36 BHP, while the X500 will be powered by a 500cc engine producing 47 BHP. Both motorcycles get USD forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear, disc brakes at both ends and LED lighting all around.

Ahead of its debut, the images of the two motorcycles have been leaked online, which revealed the bikes sporting a muscular bodywork, wide handlebars, LED headlights and a single-piece seat. It also had USD fork/offset monoshock set-up and disc brakes at both ends.

The bike had a simple analogue speedometer with a small digital inset. Apart from ABS, it is unlikely that these bikes will be offered with other riding aids, considering they will sit at the accessible end of the market.

Both bikes feature neo-retro roadster styling, something loosely along the lines of the erstwhile XR1200. The bikes will be co-developed by Hero MotoCorp and Harley-Davidson

The Harley-Davidson X350 will rival the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Honda H’ness CB350, while the X500 will compete with the Benelli 502C and the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.
