President Murmu’s Oath Ceremony: CM Naveen Will Attend The Swearing-in

Bhubaneswar, July 22: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will leave for his Delhi visit on Saturday to attend the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected President of India Draupadi Murmu.

NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu created history by becoming the first tribal Woman President of India and the first-ever Odia to be graced as the first citizen of Nation.

Murmu defeated the joint Opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha by securing 2824 first preference votes-value of which is 6,76,803, over 1,877 first preference votes– value of which is 3,80,177 votes.

The voting was held on 18th July and counting of votes was held on 21st at the Parliament House.

It’s pertinent to mention here that Odisha CM also has urged the state’s MLAs of Odisha Legislative Assembly, cutting across party lines, to extend unanimous support to elect the daughter of Odisha. He also tweeted to congratulate Murmu over her historical victory.

Reportedly, Naveen Patnaik will leave Bhubaneswar on Saturday evening.
