Bhubaneswar, Aug 11 : About 25 trains originating or passing through East Coast Railway jurisdiction will be cancelled temporarily during the safety related and infrastructural related developmental works from August 12 to August 30.
East Coast Railway ( ECoR) sources on Friday said safety related and infrastructural related developmental works will be taken up at Haridaspur, Bhubaneswar, Mancheswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur and Sambalpur City Railway stations.
The projects included works related to 3rd line between Bhubaneswar and Mancheswar,major changes in layout of Mancheswar Railway station ,major re-arrangement of signaling system in Bhubaneswar Railway station betweenAugust 17 to August 30.
Similarly, the signaling system of Haridaspur Railway station is also being undertaken from August 14 to August23. The entry and exit to and from Bhubaneswar Coach Maintenance Depot will be badly affected during the period.
ECoR sources said daily on an average 25 trains originating or passing through will be cancelled temporarily during the project work for a few days.
The railway will shortly issue a list of trains to be cancelled, short originated, short terminated and/or diverted due to the major infrastructure developmental works.
