Cheering NDA: When would the time come for the opposition to unite or it would be the same rag-tag as in 2019

Hardly  any time left for the 2024 elections the important political puzzle remains as how the opposition would go to the polls. Is it under any party such as the Congress or any other regional chieftain or the same as it was in 2019.

You ask any Congress leader about it pat comes the reply that the decision on this account to be taken at the right time.

While the fact remains that the dynasty-led Congress has not yet been able to shed its inhibitions about being led by any other party in the country.

Ridden completely off its indomitable political entity in India, the biggest problem with it is the man ‘who’. The party structures never ever been able to wriggle out of the web made of the Family.

Even before the Bharat Jodo Yatra, once it was expected that the campaign would be with a new face other than from the family, and Rahul or Priyanka may play in special appearances in between, but Rahul made it to be a solo event with nothing substantial in favour of the beleaguered party.

Although other regional leaders like KCR, Mamata, Stalin, JD(U)  and other like-minded outfits have shown the willingness to forge an electoral unity before 2024, but little seems to be materializing before the time.

Even addressing a press conference the Congress president Mallikarhun Kharge talked about a united opposition political formation for 2024, but, expectedly, he was short of saying under whom an alliance or a front can be stitched.

Thus the situation is cheering one for the BJP-led NDA that, the opposition would go in piece-meals to the General elections.
