Imphal, Dec 23 : Manipur Health Minister Dr. S. Ranjan Singh said Caesarean delivery has become a concern in the state as data shows high cases of delivery through Caesarean Section.
Addressing an event here on Saturday he said according to the World Health Organisation (WHO) report 10% to 15% of the delivery cases worldwide are done through Caesarean Section. However, the percentage is high in India in comparison to the WHO report. It is higher in Manipur. We need to find a solution to it, he added.
Ranjan said that every country has a feature to be unique and different. India also has its unique human resources and talents. We have dedicated doctors, engineers, and nurses for whom we may be proud. The state of Manipur is also equipped with unique features. Guests and visitors in the state will be pleased to know the rich culture and tradition of the state, he said.
India has been recognised in terms of its different capacities under the abled leadership of the country. The country is now on the right track to progress. Global recognition of our leaders is gaining momentum. The state Government is working hard to improve the health sector at its best level, the Minister added.
