Bihar: Three drown, 15 missing in boat mishap in Saran

Chapra, Nov 1 (UNI) At least three people were drowned and 15 others were missing when a boat ferrying them capsized in river Saryu under Manjhi police station area in Saran district on late Wednesday evening.

According to police the boat suddenly capsized while approaching the bank of the river near Matiyar village under Manjhi police station area. The victims were returning from the other side of the river after winding up their farming activities of vegetables in the riverin area.

Soon after getting the information, the district magistrate Aman Sameer, police superintendent doctor Gaurav Mangla and other senior officers reached the spot.

The missing people were being traced on war footing.
