‘Ghar mein ghus ke marenge’(we will entering your homes and bash) were the initial clamour from the Indian PM soon after he ascended the throne of the Prime minister of India.
Then and now
‘Modi is just a spectator on Chinese infiltration and seizing of India’s border areas. He should be reminded that Chacha Nehru after Nov 1962 was called Desh Drohi. Modi is now close to be called that. If China cuts through Bagdogra to B’Desh, North East can be grabbed by China’ (then BJP NP Subramanyam Swamy’s tweet)
And Brahma Chellaney, an Indian acclaimed defence analyst, twitted, ‘Bhutanese territory and planting setllers on encroached land, China has effectively opened a new front on India’s most vulnerable point, the Sillugudi Coridoor that connects the country’s remote North Eastto its heartland’.

Nothing has changed since and rather worsened as China is in a more invasive mood than ever. From India besides loud warnings nothing substantial has been done besides customary verbal jibes and call for truce.
Tea with Xi at Sabarmati has dried and the latter’s audacity shows no signs of guilt for once.
Instead China keeps making new inroads into Indian areas considered to be vulnerable. Now is a time China must get a right rebuttal not through pep talks but in action.
