Kolkata, Sep 25 : Master Sarbartho Mani of West Bengal won the title at the 36th National Under-7 Chess Championships-2023 with 9 points defeating Master K Shivin of Tamil Nadu in a fierce battle in the final round which ended on Monday.
In the deciding round he outwitted the challenger by a point.
Master Palaniappan Kavish of Tamil Nadu secured the 2nd Rank with 8 out of 9.
The tournament began on September 21 at the Stadel, Salt Lake, which was inaugurated jointly by Grandmaster Surya Shekhar Ganguly, Grandmaster Dibyendu Barua
