Kolkata, Oct 10 : Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee on Tuesday expressed his gratitude to West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose for promptly addressing the pressing issue concerning the welfare of the people of the state.
Taking to X, Banerjee said, ” My heartfelt gratitude to the @BengalGovernor C V Ananda Bose, for promptly addressing the pressing issue concerning the welfare of the people of Bengal. ”
” Specifically, his swift intervention for the rightful entitlements of over 21 lakh+ individuals of WB deprived under #MGNREGA, ” the MP from Diamond Harbour stated.
It might be mentioned that Bose on Monday assured a Trinamool Congress delegation, led by Banerjee, that he would convey to the Centre about the dues of MGNREGA fund scheme to the state.
The TMC leadership has been on sit-in-dharna in front of Raj Bhawan gate for five days and insisted that unless the Governor meet them, they would not call off the demonstration.
“ We are expecting that the governor would act as per the interest of
the common people in the state,” Banerjee told reporters after the meeting.
