Bhubaneswar, Jan 6 : As many as 554 super speciality hospitals from the private sector were brought under the fold of Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana (BSKY), the unique and flagship programme of the Odisha government.
These hospitals were from different districts of Odisha, and various neighboring states outside the state.
Official sources said about 103 hospitals from major states such as Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Maharashtra, Delhi, Gujrat, Punjab, Tamilnadu, Haryana, Uttar
Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan, Telangana and Uttarakhand were empanelled.
Recently, after due technical and administrative scrutiny of the other private hospitals, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had approved 29 Speciality and Multispeciality hospitals in Odisha for inclusion under BSKY.
