SS Rajamouli touches a new high when James Cameron offered him a place in Hollywood

It was, perhaps, a dream-cum-true situation for SS Rajamouli , the film director who is lolling in the luxury of appreciations and recognitions world over the success of ‘RRR’.
But what stood out is his purity of simplicity and gesture reflecting the blend of humility and obligation. When he met Steven Spielberg, one of the greatest thinker-cum-film maker, SS was simply consumed by awe.
It was in the side lines of a function abroad, James Cameron volunteered himself to congratulate and speak to the maker of RRR. “That was indeed inspiring to talk to James Cameron, the maker of ‘Avatar- The way of water’ on that occasion”
What was that got SS awe-struck was the offer from Cameroon to SS to make cinema for the Hollywood. It was more than exciting for Rajamouli, who exhibited his gratitude from a man of Cameron’s stature by having his palms to the chest.
On the other hand the maker of great films like Terminator, Avatar, Titanic earlier, heaped praises on this director from South Indian cinema SS Rajamouli.
A composed and drenched with a simplicity that is rare in the celluloid world of the day, such filmmakers just silently make the films and then abandon a thrill without much ado or profile pushing, unlike in our Bollywood where on films controversies are even manufactured or concocted for image pushing.
The RRR director even humbled the maker of ‘Avatar- Way of Water’ Rajamouli told “I saw all your movies… Big inspiration. From Terminator, Avatar, Titanic…Everything. Loved your work.” Replying to which, Cameron said, “Thank you. That’s right. Now watching your characters…It’s just like such a feeling to watch them.”
