The film RRR has indeed upscaled the image of Indian cinema to a new high and its Director SS Rajamauli is now never short of the height to be in the league of greats like Steven Spielberg. Whom, after meeting, Rajamauli had the words like ‘ I met God’.
RRR set the occasion glittered with sheer honest accolades heaped on the RRR director.
Now, in another show of Indian stardom, Jr. NTR , for his role in RRR is blinking at the threshold of Oscar for cap of fame.
Besides the words of praise from several stalwarts in world cinema, even critics do look in askance at the creativity of Jr NTR Jin RRR, one of the most stunning performances which must go down the annals of cinema histrionics.
US Today has already in a shortlist had made the mention of the Indian star NTR Jr as a strong contender for the Oscar in acting.
After the glory in Golden Globes the RRR stars have already zoomed into new orbits and NTR Jr is in a list in which, believe it, there are the greatly acclaimed personas in film like of Tom Cruise for his performance in Top Gun: Maverick, Paul Dano for The Batman and Mia Goth for Pearl. The other potential nominees were Nina Hoss, Zoe Kravitz, Lashana Lynch, Paul Mescal, Keke Palmer and Jeremy Pope.
Anyway, we have to wait till the results are out.
