Yogi Comes Down Heavily On Dynasty Politics

Muradnagar (Ghaziabad), Jan 29(UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has said that unlike the BJP, the Samajwadi Party, Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) did not have development or the safety and security of people on their agenda. Talking to a select group of intellectuals as part of ‘Dialogue with Influential Voters’ programme to seek votes for BJP candidate Ajit Pal Tyagi here on Saturday, CM Yogi said that all the three were basically family-oriented parties in which only family mattered, while for the Bharatiya Janata Party, the well-being of the 25 crore people of the state was the top priority.

“Our family is the 25 crore people of the state”, he remarked. Yogi said that the these parties of “Chacha-Bhatija, Bua-Bhatija and Bhai-Behan” were no where to be seen during the cornoavirus pandemic and it was the double engine government of the centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the UP Government and the BJP workers that were working around the clock to save lives and livelihood of people. Hitting out at the Samajwadi Party leadership, CM Yogi said that their red caps carried blood stains of Ram bhakts and innocent people who died in Muzaffarnagar riots and people cannot forgive them.

He added: “Before 2017, the situation was bad all over Western UP. There were frequent riots. Traders and women were unsafe. They unleashed chaos and anarchy when they were in power, shielding and encouraging gangsters and mafia. There was no development.” “Today, we have built Meerut Expressway while work is underway on a rapid rail project between Meerut and Delhi worth Rs 30,000 crore. And soon, we will build a world-class film city near Ghaziabad also, so that the cinematic talents of our state do not have to migrate to Mumbai to try their luck”, CM Yogi said. He further pointed out that the double engine government of UP has provided 43 lakh houses to the poor and free LPG connection to 1.56 crore families, as well as free ration and free electricity to crores of needy people. CM Yogi said that if people did not want history-sheeters to run police stations and wanted daughters and women to be safe, they must reject parties that cannot rise above families to think in the larger interest of people.

He said that people did not have a better option than the BJP if they wanted development and rule of law to stay in UP where women felt safe, farmers’ and traders’ interests were protected and youth got plenty of employment opportunities. He added: “Before election, professional criminals may try to intimidate voters, but after March 10, they will all be running for their lives and therefore, there is no need to fear them.” Earlier, CM Yogi interacted with voters in Baghpat where he told them that the previous governments looted public money and hid it behind walls which is being unearthed during BJP Government. He said that the previous government brazenly sypmpathised with rioters and criminals and it was clearly reflected in the distribution of tickets by the party.
