Bhubaneswar, Dec 24 : Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate the Odia University campus at Satyabadi during the last week of January 2024.
Chairman 5T (Transformational Initiatives) & Nabin Odisha, VK Pandian said this on Sunday after Reviewig the progress of 1st phase construction work of the University.
The first phase work being built in an area of 8.6acres, has a School of learning with a capacity of 200 students, one hostel block for male and one for female students with capacity for 32 students each, a scholar’s hostel for 16 scholars, library, cafeteria, an administrative block and a well developed water body.
Pandian appreciated the architecture and construction work progress and instructed the authority to complete it by January 15 next.
The Odia University, a dream project of chief minister Naveen Patnaik, has successfully used Odia alphabets in its design and architecture.
The Odia University will be a center of excellence for research and development in Odia language.
