This decision taken by the Muslim brothers is being appreciated from all levels.
As part of this, the Waluj police of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city police had called a peace committee meeting last evening at Shri Vitthal Rukmini temple in Pandharpur of Waluj area. In the meeting held on this occasion, an important decision was taken by the Muslim community not to offer Qurbani on Bakrid.
It was also decided in this meeting to perform Qurbani on the second and third day.
Lakhs of devotees visit this place on Ashadhi Ekadashi day.
On the day of Ashadhi Ekadashi, devotees from all over the district enter Pandharpur village from early morning. Interestingly, on this day, hundreds of Dindis also come to visit the temple.
However, since Bakrid is also on this day, the citizens of the local Muslim community have decided not to perform Qurbani.
This decision is being discussed throughout the district.
