Toddler died by drowning on New year’s day in Balasore

Balasore: In a devastating incident that has left the community of Raipur village in Balasore district reeling, the lifeless body of three-year-old Subham was discovered in an abandoned pond near his home. The heart-wrenching discovery follows a frantic search operation that was initiated after the toddler went missing while playing near his house.

The sorrowful incident has cast a somber shadow over the New Year celebrations in Raipur village, as the family and villagers grapple with the tragic loss. Subham, the son of Mohan Sahu, vanished while playing with his sister, prompting a widespread search across ponds, railway stations, and other locations, all of which proved unsuccessful.

Desperation set in, leading the family to file a complaint with the local police. In response, the authorities, aided by sniffer dogs, launched a thorough search operation to locate the missing child. The fire brigade team also joined the efforts, focusing on an abandoned pond near the family home.

After a harrowing search, the rescue team retrieved Subham’s lifeless body from the pond. The police have taken possession of the body for post-mortem examination to determine the cause of his untimely demise.

The news of Subham’s death has left Raipur village in mourning, as the community grapples with the profound sadness of losing a young member.
