Humanity shamed! Minor girl gangraped twice in Nagpur

Nagpur : A minor girl was gangraped twice in the same night on July 29 in Maharashtra’s Nagpur city, a senior police official told UNI on Monday.
According to the reports, the 17-year-old victim after being scolded by her sister-in-law left her home on July 29 night and reached Sitabuldi square, where, an auto driver, Shahnawaj, saw the girl and started talking to her.
He found that the girl was disturbed and offered her help. The girl sat in his auto and they left for Mominpura. On the way, the girl was intoxicated with liquor after which he took her to a room and called his three other friends, and raped her.
Three of the accused are identified as Shahnawaz alias Sana Md Rashid (25), a resident of Masum Shah Takia, Md Tausif Md Yusuf (26), Md Mushir (23), a resident of Bakramandi.
After this horrific incident, the accused trio dropped the girl at Mayo Hospital Square, where two other auto drivers saw her and they too raped the girl in the auto and fled from the spot.
Frightened by the incident, the girl asked for help at Mayo Square. Two bike riders dropped her at the railway station when she told them that she wanted to go to Mumbai.
At late night, GRP patrolling squad found the girl on the station premises. Sneaking something suspicious, they sent her to a women’s juvenile home, where the minor narrated her ordeal before the child welfare committee.
On the information of the committee, GRP recorded the statement of the minor.
It was revealed that the girl was kidnapped from Manas Square and gang-raped twice in the same day.
GRP police took, Shahnawaj, the mastermind of the case, and his two friends into custody and informed Sitabuldi police.
Sitabuldi police have arrested Shahnawaj, who is an auto driver along with three other accused and have registered a case of rape, kidnapping, atrocities under the POCSO Act.
Four of the six accused involved in the crime are auto drivers, while two are said to be porters. All are active at the railway station, Nagpur, the official said adding that further probe was underway.
