Bhubaneswar, Sep 7 (UNI) Railway Board has sanctioned two infrastructure-related railway projects worth Rs 11,92 crore for Odisha, East Coast Railway sources said on Thursday.
The Board sanctioned Rs 5.43 crore for the installation of a quick watering facility at Sambalpur city and Rs 6.49 crore for the drainage system at the west side of Balasore Railway Station.
“Quick Watering System” is a new facility that would make available water in train coaches at Sambalpur City Railway Station.
A 24-coach train can be filled up within five minutes and multiple trains can be watered under the system. Presently, there is no such facility at Sambalpur City Railway Station.

The provision of drainage arrangements at the west side of Balasore station will ensure it has a proper sewage system, ECoR sources said
