Bhubaneswar, Dec 7 : The Odisha government on Thursday gave nod to 19 transformative projects worth Rs 4,804.35 crore to further strengthen the state’s position as an investment destination.
The 125th State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena approved these projects mostly in key sectors such as Apparel & Textiles, Steel Downstream, Paint (Chemical), Plastics, Packaging/Metal Downstream, Chemicals, Food, Beverage & Allied Sectors, Steel (Ferroalloys), IT Infrastructure, Agro Processing, Renewable Energy/Circular Economy, and Infrastructure.
These diverse investments not only enhance Odisha’s manufacturing capabilities but also showcase the region’s rich mineral resources, metallurgical expertise, and commitment to technological advancements in the IT sector.
The Agro Industry has seen notable advancements, tapping into the state’s cultivation potential. Spread across 10 districts, these strategic investments reflect a comprehensive and widespread industrial development strategy for Odisha.
Official sources said the Welspun Living Limited is investing Rs 200 Crore to establish a Textile Facility in Kendrapada while the Tata Steel Downstream Products Limited will set up a 10,00,000 MT Steel Service Center in Kalinga Nagar, Jajpur, in the Steel Downstream segment with an investment of Rs 735 Crore.
In the Steel (Ferroalloys) sector, Indian Metals and Ferro Alloys Limited will invest Rs.977.43 Crores in Jajpur to produce 2,20,000 MT Ferro Chrome and 20 MW WHRB Power.
Jindal Stainless Limited will set up a stainless-steel service center unit in JSL Stainless Steel Park, Jajpur, with an investment of Rs 150 Crore.
The Crackers India Alloys Ltd will invest Rs 101.50 Crore to set up up a 52,800 MT Steel Casting mill & Rolling Mill with Ancillary facilities in Barbil, Keonjhar.
Envirocare Infrasolution Private Limited’s will establish a Mild steel strips and pipes manufacturing unit with a capacity of 2,88,000 TPA each at an investment of Rs.100 Crore in Sundergarh.
Rungta Paints Private Limited will make its presence in Dhenkanal with a Manufacturing unit for Paints, Allied products & Intermediate at a cost of Rs. 991 Crore.
Modulus Oleochem and Surfactants Private Limited will set up a comprehensive Chemical Manufacturing unit in Baliapal Industrial Estate, Balasore at an investment of Rs 313.51 Crore which will boost the Chemicals sector.
The Transnova Express India Private Limited will invest Rs.120.39 Crores in a Chemical Hub in Khordha to set up a Bulk Industrial Chemical Storage, Re-packing, and Handling facility.,
With the paint giant Berger setting up foot in Odisha, two of its ancillary companies, namely, Grow Max India Private Limited, will invest Rs 54.55 Crore in a Manufacturing unit for Plastic Pails, Lids, Bottle & Drum in Khordha.
The second one namely, Anupam Products Limited, with an investment of Rs.51 Crore will also set up Manufacturing unit for Empty Metal Tin Containers in Khordha.
Rajshree Polypack Limited and Kesav Plasttech (P) Limited will set up manufacturing units in Khordha and Rengali Industrial Area, Sambalpur, respectively with a combined investment of Rs.102.25 Crore.
Dhansar Group initiates a Private Freight Terminal (PFT) under PM- Gati Shakti Multi Modal Terminal scheme in Sundergarh, with an investment of 190 Crore while the Kaibalya Logistics Private Limited will invest Rs.110 Crore in a Multi-Modal Inland Container Depot (ICD) in Mahakalapada Block in Kendrapara district.
Summa Real Media Private Limited will unveil a Rs 226.57 Crore IT Infrastructure Complex in Khordha, expected to accommodate 10,000 IT professionals.
Among others Vaswani Steel Private Limited is set to establish a 200 KLPD grain-based Ethanol plant, accompanied by a 5MW Co-gen power plant in Nuapada, contributing significantly to Agro Processing in the Biju Economic Corridor with an investment of Rs.237.80 Crore.
The GAIA Neo Energy Private Limited will establish a Compressed Biogas plant in Dampara, Cuttackwith an annual capacity of 3,600 MT.
