Honey Badger spotted, witty, ferocious and intelligent animal
By D N Singh
The vastness of the nature is beyond human grasp. More one travels deeper into it, one encounters a new element of the nature.
Floras or faunas, there are no limits and the dynamics of evolution springs new surprises the day next.
The recent spotting of a very deadly yet elusive animal has been spotted in Chhatishgarh .
Which is called as Honey Badger although it has many names in the local parlance.
Deadly and elusive but the honey badger is also an easy prey to illusions. Like the other day it was spotted by forest officials on a road side, looking panicked and confused.
It was then rescued and kept in a safe enclosure.
But, the reality is that, this animal is assumed to be in Odisha’s Simlipal bio-sphere Reserve, say local forest officials in Simlipal.
It is  also known as the ratel  is a mammal widely distributed in Africa, South west Asia and Indian Subcontinent cause of its wide range and occurrence in a variety of habitats,
Despite its name, the honey badger does not closely resemble other badger species; instead, it bears more anatomical similarities to weasels.
Ferociously defensive and witty
Primarily a carnivorous species and has few natural predators because of its thick skin, strength and ferocious defensive abilities.
It Can Open Latches & Use Tools
Seems highly intelligent this specie is capable of using tools and recorded that, it is capable of escaping from latched or locked rooms by opening the latch and at the same time, burrowing under the ground or digging walls. Supposed to be most fearless animal, Honey Badger has entered the Guinness Book Of World Record as so, ‘most fearless animal’.
