The now-viral clip begins with two men arguing with each other while standing next to a flight attendant, who attempts to defuse the situation.
The verbal quarreling soon turns serious as the men start shoving and pointing at each other. One of them is heard saying ‘haath neeche kar (lower your hand)’.
As the altercation turns physical a few seconds later, all fellow passengers and cabin crew turn their attention to the two men.
The man in the grey sweatshirt takes his glasses off and proceeds to rain slaps on the man in the black t-shirt, who just shields the attacks without fighting back.
A few seconds later, the passengers standing next to the man in the grey sweatshirt start landing blows on the guy in the black shirt.
This goes on for several seconds even as fellow passengers and cabin crew urge the man in the grey sweatshirt to clam down.
The brawl seems to end with an attendant intervenes and separates the two men.
Following the incident, a senior official from India was quoted as saying, “Its a foreign registered Aircraft. We have no powers/oversight. Our laws do not apply to them. State of registry (Thailand) has to take appropriate action:”
The clip has now been widely circulated on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Many users said the passengers should be booked for disturbing the peace on an international flight.
