Bhubaneswar, Jun 1: Officials of the Income Tax (IT) Department on Thursday conducted raids at multiple premises of a prominent sea exporter in Odisha.
It is worth mentioning that the income tax raid has been conducted on one of the State’s largest seafood company and its group of companies.
According to reports, several premises of marine product exporter Falcon Group were raided on tax evasion charges.
Separate teams of the IT department carried out search operations in Balasore, Bhubaneswar, including residences of the seafood export firm’s officials.
Sources said the IT department officials seized vital documents during the raids.
The raids were underway when the last reports came in.
