UP Polls: Mulayam Clan Casts Vote In Saifai
Saifai (UP), Feb 20: Absence of law and order that BJP made its weapon against the Samajwadi Party at every rally, was hurled back at the Yogi Adityanath government by SP chief Akhilesh Yadav on Sunday as he raised the kidnapping in Agra and the recovery of an Uttar Pradesh policewoman’s body from a drain.
After comparing the Lakhimpur Kheri violence to Jallianwala Bagh massacre on Saturday, Akhilesh once again addressing the media after casting his vote in his ancestral village Saifai, said:
“There is no law and order except what is heard being bellowed by BJP leaders at rallies. “His wife Dimple Yadav also called out the false narrative of the BJP saying, “There is nothing new in what BJP is doing. They peddle lies. They did it in 2017 as well. But now after five years, voters can see through them.”
The SP chief said if Samajwadi Party comes to power, it would take action against the people who shielded the perpetrators of Lakhimpur incident.
“If law and order have been so strong under ‘Babaji CM’, Akhilesh taunted, “then why was administration clueless for two whole days when Agra businessman’s son was kidnapped? “Forget that, personnel from the state police are being killed. What does Yogi have to say about the constable woman’s body recovered from a drain. Whatabout Hathras, Vikas Dubey-plotted massacre of police..?
“If there was such huge development, why couldn’t CM develop the already-existing health infra in Gorakhpur, instead of announcing numerous projects and laying foundation stones,” said Akhilesh, calling them “gimmicks after gimmicks”.
Shivpal Yadav, Akhilesh’s uncle exuded confidence that SP will win both Jaswantnagar and Karhal seats. After casting his vote, he said the BJP could win the UP elections in 2017 because of issues within Yadav family.
“They won in 2017 because we had family issues… Now with everything sorted among us, the BJP is nervous.”
Mulayam Singh also arrived in a wheelchair at the polling booth in Jaswantnagar, Saifai to cast his vote.
