UP Polls: 34.83% Voting Till 1 pm

Lucknow, Feb 27: Polling continued for 61 seats spread over 12 districts in the fifth phase of Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections as 34.83 per cent of 2.25 crore eligible voters exercised their franchise till 1 pm on Sunday.

According to the report from the Chief Electoral Officer’s office, maximum 38.99 per cent votes were polled in Chitrakoot, whereas Prayagraj saw 30.56 per cent turnout.

Among other districts 36.02 per cent votes were polled in Amethi, 38.79 per cent in Ayodhya, 37.31 per cent in Bahraich, 36.25 per cent in Barabanki, 34.35 per cent in Gonda, 37.18 per cent in Kaushambi, 33.72 per cent in Pratapgarh, 33.64 per cent in Rae Bareli, 36.57 per cent in Shrawasti and 34.85 per cent in Sultanpur.
