UP: 815 Nominations Filed For First Phase Assembly Polls
Lucknow, Jan 21: A total of 815 nominations have been filed in the first phase of assembly polls in 58 seats of Western Uttar Pradesh, officials informed on Friday.
On Friday the last day for filing of nominations for the first phase 426 candidates filed their papers.
ECI sources here on Friday said 426 nominations were submitted on Friday whereas 389 nominations were filed earlier.
With this the Mathura assembly seat has the highest number of 27 candidates followed by 23 in Noida and 20 each in Bah and Meerapur seats.
On Friday 17 nominations were filed for Mathura and 12 for Kairana seats.
The scrutiny of the papers would be done on Monday. First phase polling is scheduled on February 10.
Meanwhile, 10 nominations were also filed for the second phase of polling in 55 seats on Friday.
