SP Leader Shot Dead In Shahjahanpur
Shahjahanpur, Feb 15: In an incident related to post poll violence, a Samajwadi Party leader was shot dead while another person was injured when some people of his village attacked him under Nigohi police station area on early Tuesday morning.
Police said that the deceased identified as Sudhir Kumar a SP Booth president of Vikrampur Chakora village was killed in the attack when he was going to the fields in the morning.Another person Sunil was also injured in the firing.
Police said the accused have been identified as Antu and Sarvesh of the same village. It has been reported that on Monday during the polling in the area Sudhir had some dispute with the accused people over voting.
SP (City) Sanjay Kumar said a manhunt has been launched and the assailants would be nabbed soon.
