Etawah, Jan 29 : Slamming Samajwadi Party (SP), Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BSP) president JP Nadda on Saturday said that their governments indulged in politics of casteism, dynasty, appeasement and corruption in Uttar Pradesh, but BJP is ensuring development of all. Addresing ‘Prabhavi Matdata Sammelan’ here Nadda said, “SP, BSP and Congress governments in UP did politics of casteism, dynasty, appeasement and corruption, but under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi the mantra of our ‘double engine’ government became – ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Vishwas’.”
He said that if BSP used to come to power development of only one caste used to take place and if SP came then along with casteism crime would become rampant. “We have seen the tenure of SP and BSP governments when people of only one specific caste were selected during recruitments. Our government ensures development of all without any appeasement,” he said. Nadda said that the SP-BSP governments used to lay foundation stones of schemes and then forget about these “Files of their schemes used to gather dust and no work was done. Today the double engine government has changed the picture of the state. Today we are inaugurating the schemes, whose foundation stones were laid in our government itself. Today UP has become the first preference for investment,” he said. Taking a jibe at SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s ‘Ann Sankalp’, he said, “Those who never did any good to the farmers are now roaming with grains in their fists. Akhilesh Yadav must tell the people of UP what he did for the farmers of the state during his five year stint. In 2014 the budget for agriculture was only Rs 22,000 crore, but in Prime Minister Narendra Modi government it has increased by almost six times. It is the Yogi government under the leadership of the PM which waived off around Rs 36,000 crore loan of 86 lakh farmers in the state,” he said.
He said that during the SP-BSP governments 21 sugar mills were closed down. “In our government not a single sugar mill got closed, instead three sugar mills started and expansion of several sugar mills took place,” he said. Nadda said that under the leadership of PM Modi, the Yogi government works for development, but the SP people spray Itra (perfume). “To hide your wrong doings apply as much Itra as you can, but fragrance will not come due to your wrong deeds,” he said.
The BJP president also accused SP president Akhilesh Yadav of giving party tickets to criminals. “A list of the candidates of SP has come, some are contesting from jail and some are contesting on bail. After all, what is the compulsion before Akhilesh Yadav that his friendship with criminals and mafias is not ending? He can never break his friendship with mafia and criminals because this is the identity of SP,” he said. He said that during the Akhilesh Yadav government there was rule of mining mafia, land mafia, sand mafia and criminals. “Today all these criminals and mafia are behind the bars. Earlier the criminals used to roam freely, today they themselves are surrendering before the police,” he said.
