Lucknow, Jan 22 : As the most populated state of the country braced up for Assembly elections, scheduled to be held in the months of February and March, political parties have started pre-poll alliances.
The latest to join the bandwagon is the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen, led by Asaduddin Owaisi, which entered into alliance with former BSP leader Babu Singh Kushwaha’s Jan Adhikar Party and another party called Bharat Mukti Morcha
The Third Front Bhagedari Parivartan Morcha is all set to challenge the BJP, SP, BSP and Congress in the Assembly polls.
AIMIM, who had announced to field 100 candidates alone in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, has found a new partner in Kushwaha, who formed his Jan Adhikar party after leaving the Bahujan Samaj Party. The duo have formed the Bhagadari Parivartan Morcha for the elections of Uttar Pradesh.
Jan Adhikar Party and Bharat Mukti Morcha along with All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) have formed Bhagedari Parivartan Morcha in Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. All the three parties together will decide the candidates. Even after the completion of nominations for 58 seats for the first round of voting, all three together will now decide their candidates on the remaining 348 seats.
In Lucknow, Owaisi, along with Kushwaha and Vaman Meshram, announced the formation of the Morcha.
He said that if the alliance comes to power, there will be two Chief Ministers, one from the OBC community and the other from the Dalit community. There will be three deputy chief ministers from the Muslim community, he added.
Earlier, AIMIM had announced the names of 27 candidates for the UP Assembly elections.
