If Sushil can get some post in BJP by speaking against me, let him do so: Nitish
Patna, Aug 11 : Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, leading the Grand Alliance government said that if BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi gets some post in the party, let Modi continue to speak as it hardly affects him.
Accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Tejaswi Prasad Yadav Nitish Kumar after paying tribute to the Martyrs on Martyr’s day reacted to the statements issued by Sushil Modi against him and told newspersons here on Thursday that some people were making bogus statements that he was interested to become vice president and snapped the alliance as he could not get the opportunity.
Dubbing the allegations of Sushil Modi upon him as baseless Nitish Kumar said “whatever Sushil Modi wish to speak let him continue as it hardly affects me”.
He said, “Modi was devoid of any power in BJP and it would be better for him if he gets some responsibility in the organisation by speaking against me”.
It may be recalled that Nitish Kumar and Sushil Modi shared close political links and were always spotted together in the previous NDA government but under the changed scenario, both of them were engaged in mud-slinging upon each other.
Earlier Sushil Kumar Modi on Wednesday had alleged that Nitish Kumar parted his ways with National Democratic Alliance as it did not made him a candidate during the recently held vice president elections.
He had stated that Nitish Kumar wished to be a candidate for the vice president election but the NDA was not ready for it. A close confident of Nitish Kumar had apprised BJP top leadership about his desire which was not considered by the BJP, Sushil Modi had quipped.
